Gimp and Krita are what I recommend to all Linux users. Gimp is the open source equivalent of Adobe Photoshop in Linux, some says that it is better than Adobe itself. I cannot confirm that since I don't use both of the software. Krita is like the Paint 3d in Windows 10 Operating System. It has all the options and features of Microsoft Paint.
